The Series PLS2 electromechanical level switch is ideal for monitoring the level of bulk materials. The unit is equipped with a rotating measuring vane that is propelled by a brushless synchronous motor that makes one rotation per minute. As the product level increases, the paddle is blocked, causing the output switch to stop the motor. Once the material has cleared, the spring mechanism starts the motor, and the paddle again begins to rotate. The unit is also equipped with an integrated torque adjusting feature that no longer requires the additional of multiple sized paddles. The unit is constructed with an industry standard 1-1/4″ male NPT connection which permits the unit to be either side or top mounted.
