The PGM-IR is a portable monitor which uses a long-life, non-dispersive infrared sensor technology. It is employed for analyzing and checking low-level gas leaks. The unit can determine small levels of refrigerants, nitrous oxide or carbon dioxide gas in ambient air. The results are presented through an LCD display in real time. The data are shown in units of either parts per million (ppm) or elapsed time weighted average (TWA). The unit self-calibrates in 4-minute intervals, thus providing a good zero baseline. This function allows the usage of the monitor in contaminated environments without affecting the readings of the target gas. Built with an immunity to the changes in temperature and humidity, the machine can cut leak inspection times by 50%.
