The Delphi Fuel Level Sensor is designed for fuel level measurement by using a magnetic, contact-less, angular position sensor. It works by transforming rotary motion into an electrical signal and provides a precise fuel gauge readout, with output voltage in-line with the sensor’s field, at a right angle to the sense element. It is well suited for a number of different applications due to a compact, durable and easy to configure design that offers a high level of reliability and smooth operating performance. The contact-less operation is made possible through a combination of Hall sensing technology and AMR technology, where magnets generate a sine wave response signal by rotating, enabling sensor operation in a linear region of the signal.
